knowing what i now know about fresh flowers, i wouldn't recommend buying peonies like these simply because they are so bloomed out. you'd only be able to admire them for two or three more days. however, if you get some when they're all compacted into a cute little ball, then you get the joy of watching a petal explosion. these are still nice to look at though.

Hello
i absolutely ADORE peonies. i spotted some at the farmer's market yesterday, but couldn't carry anything else- i may have to go try and rustle some up today now, though.
the first time someone gave peonies to me was actually my boss at FC, my first day on the job. she brought in a lush bonquet of the white ones, and left it on my desk with a note welcoming me to the team. i have to say, it was the best first day of a job i've ever had.
i think you'll have to give and surround yourself with copious blooms on the first day of your next "job."
do i have to get another one? i was kind of hoping to avoid it.
i was trying to infer that because you'll be your own boss at your next "job" (or whatever project makes you happiest and most satisfied) that _you'll_ be the one presenting _you_ with les fleurs.
wow. it's so hot here clearly my brain has stopped functioning.
